Providing engineering support to the transportation and mining industries in Australia is one of Olitek's primary and key objectives.

Because of Olitek's unique capabilities to design, certify and manufacture, all in house, we were contracted by the leading rail company in Qld to design and manufacture four new brake assemblies for their maintenance rolling stock.  

Olitek worked in 3D CAD to liaise with the company in far North Queensland and, via 3D communication, came up with a new design the client was happy with.  When analysed, the design easily withstood the 1105N/m of torque on each axle.

The end results are shown below, a set of four great looking brakes and a design that fitted perfectly on-site when commissioned.
