Haas Automation’s complete line of CNC lathes is designed to meet the needs of modern machine shops, now and long into the future. The SL Series offers a wide range of capacities, and our space-saving Big Bore option increases capacity further while retaining the original footprint. The SL-30, with a max turning capacity of 17" x 34" (432 x 864 mm) and a 10" (254 mm) chuck, has a bar capacity of up to 3.0" (76 mm).

Haas high-performance turning centers also feature massive headstock castings with symmetric ribs for rigidity and thermal stability; on-the-fly wye-delta switching for peak performance throughout the rpm range; and embedded chip trays and high-volume coolant systems for efficient chip removal. The Haas VF-4 vertical machining center has 50" x 20" x 25" (1270 x 508 x 635 mm) travels and is built utilizing vibration-damping cast-iron components. Like every Haas machine, the VF-4 represents years of ongoing refinement. Customer feedback, coupled with the relentless pursuit of perfection, sees advancements and design-enhancing changes incorporated directly into the production line every day.

The Haas VF-4 is a rugged, medium-sized vertical machining center that yields full reliability and accuracy in a moderately sized machine. The VF-4 has a 40-taper cartridge spindle driven by a 20 hp (14.9 kW) vector drive. The VF-4 produces either 75 ft-lb (102 Nm) of torque at a low 1400 rpm, or 250 ft-lb (339 Nm) at 450 rpm with the optional 2-speed gearbox -- and will also run up to 7500 rpm in 1.2 seconds for finishing aluminum.

This TL-2 lathe is ideal for prototype or short run parts as it is a semi manual CNC lathe with low setup times.  The TL-2 operates in four modes. In all modes, the Haas control provides extremely accurate digital read-out (DRO) of position, displayed to 0.0005" (0.013 mm) when using the manual handwheels or to 0.0001" (0.003 mm) when using the electronic jog handle.

The SL30 and TL-2 both utilise the same G Coding language enabling programs to be interchanged between the two machines. The main difference is the SL30 for high production barfed & milling. The TL-2  can be used for short component runs of components.

Operations that would be difficult or impossible on a manual machine, such as radii, tapers, profiles, grooving, ID and OD threading, and rigid tapping, are all possible on the TL-2.
